I've tried xpadder and it sucks. It's weird how every time this discussion comes up on any game forum, there's always a bunch of people who start chanting ' xpadder, xpadder' like it's some kind of cult. Here's a test for the members of the cult of xpadder: find a game that natively supports both controllers and keyboard/mouse. Play it for a while using the native controller support, then disable controller support and switch to keyboard. Now create a profile in xpadder to map the keyboard and mouse to the controller.

Now take a nap because that was a lot of work. After you're rested, play the game again using the xpadder profile. Now disable xpadder and switch back to native controller support and play it again.Did the xpadder profile have exactly the same feel and responsiveness as native controller support? In my experience, I have to say NO because xpadder sucks. Native controller support is always much tighter and more responsive, plus most games will recognize the variability in the analog sticks and triggers, whereas keyboard mapping is just digital on/off.

That's why I prefer controllers. This is my biggest complaint with games like this it was an released on the original x-box so it had a controller support of some kind why can't that bit of code be used in the PC port??I was bummed after I rebought KOTOR 1 that this was the case, same thing happened with Payday the heist. Just an all around bummer for people like me who prefer controller. And remember, the PC version actually has a simpler control scheme than the Xbox version, if for no other reason the PC scheme is based around using the mouse for 90% of the game. Remember, in 2005 there just wasn't any demand for joypad compatibilty on PC games.i used to laugh at people who played the faild mmo of star wars (TOR) who complained they couldnt use an xbox pad you jsut think why decide to play a pc game if you wanan use a pad why not just buy the console version?
